Recipe Notes
A spiral ham is best when cooking this ham in crockpot recipe. You get away from the hassle of slicing and the juices and flavors are better absorbed in spiral ham.
Acids in pineapple juice will help make the meat even more tender.
You can add more or less sriracha depending on your preference.
There you have it, hot foodies! Sweet, spicy, tender, and juicy–all a delicious ham should be. When we say tender, it melts and literally falls off easy. So, take extra care when taking the whole ham out of the crockpot.
By the way, this recipe will produce lots of juices. You can leave half of the juice for reheating the ham and the other half to make your own glaze. Add a small amount of cornstarch to the juice to make a slurry and voila! Instant glaze. You won’t need anything else with all the flavors in that juice.
This ham in crockpot recipe makes great for salads and sandwiches. You will love leftovers of this ham, so put some leftover ham slices back to the crockpot with the juice left and kept warm. With less effort, you get a glistening holiday-quality tender juicy goodness with an extra kick!
