- To save time later on, prepare all the ingredients needed to cook your spicy garlic shrimp recipe. Additionally, bring out all the kitchenware needed and make sure all your tools are clean and ready to use.
- Break each Sriracha stix into smaller pieces. While how small you want to make the stix is up to you, make sure you break each of them into at least three pieces. That way, you’ll have at least 18 pieces of Sriracha stix for your 18 shrimps.
- Slip your small Sriracha stix into each piece of raw shrimp. This will give the shrimp a tangy and spicy flavor without having to marinate it overnight.
- Open the can of pineapple chunks and drain the juice using a colander. You’ll only need the actual pineapple chunks for this recipe.
- Set the electric skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is at the desired temperature, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Stir with a spatula for a minute or two until butter is completely dissolved. While you can use any other pan to cook this recipe, we recommend an electric skillet because it allows you to have complete control over the temperature. After all, you don’t want to overcook or undercook the shrimp.
- Add all 18 shrimps you’ve inserted with the Sriracha stix to the skillet. Season them with salt and black pepper. Stir for about two to three minutes until the shrimps turn orange.
- Place the spicy garlic shrimps on a serving plate and serve immediately. You can serve a la carte or with pasta, depending on your preference.
Shrimp is a blank canvas for so many spices and sauces. This spicy garlic shrimp recipe is just one of the ways you can prepare this protein-packed seafood, and with that irresistible spicy-sweet taste. It’s full of flavor and heat. It complements perfectly with rice and green vegetables. A healthy meal bound to become one of your favorites.
